Nordic Design Society is a new Parisian design studio founded by three ex-Scandinavians. In the Nordic key, we are shaping the traditional material world for modern minds.

For us, design is a discussion about how to bring people together. About history and future, about we and them, and about east and west, north and south.

We create design concepts and products for commercial clients.

Every detail counts. We strive to find the answer to how spaces, materials, patterns, colours, papers, shapes, ceramics, textiles, fonts, lights, furniture, products, feelings, and objects can serve us better in the fast-changing multicultural world.

People rarely fall in love with pure logic, function, or price but they also resist random creativity that does not touch them. Therefore, the most important part of the design is the meaningful magic – the right kind of design in the right context.

“Nothing old is ever reborn but neither does it totally disappear. And that which has once been born, will always reappear in a new form”

Finnish–Estonian Culture Foundation supported us with the 15000 Euro grant.

Finnish and Estonian designers have strong design skills as well as modern and innovative mindset in a global scale. Both are needed to produce smart and successful visual design projects.

Katrin and Eeva attended a luxurious reception in Tallinn where they were greeted by Estonia’s Minister of Culture and fabulous culture experts from Finland and Estonia. We are very grateful for the support.
